Things I Have Discovered in the Course of the Day:

1) Bad things don't always come in threes. Sometimes, they come in eights. Like the 8 pets that died today, either at work, or at home before their parents could bring them in to help them along. When the day starts with a couple banging on the office door at 7:30am sobbing with their collapsing dog to be euthanized, you just know the day isn't going to go well.

2) Prong collars are WONDROUS! I need another. One for both dogs. Lily pulls like a maniac and respects nothing but the prong, and Liam has the "sneeeeak out in front of Mom and ignore her REALLY HARD corrections with the choke chain" down pat. His heel is *perfect* with the prong, and I'm not yanking on his neck and hurting my hands the whole time.

3) Baby bunnies have to be THE cutest thing on the face of the planet. I cannot have one right now... but that doesn't stop me from wanting one.

So yeah. The workday sucked. Bigtime. Too much death, not enough cute. Though the two kittens in the waiting room might've made up for the day if I'd been able to snuggle them a little longer. Little black and white faces peeking out from their owner's hands. I strolled over and said I needed a serious kitten fix, and she looked at me, grinned, and held them out like a kid holds out it's favorite toy for inspection. SO CUTE.
